Orion 12 Gauge Boat Flare Instructions for Loading & Launching

1. For most effective use, fire only after sighting a potential rescue vessel
2. After sighting the vessel, break the launcher barrel open and insert the 12-Gauge aerial signal
3. Hold the launcher above eye level, point straight up and cock
1. For a launcher without a safety, hold above your head, pull the hammer back until it cocks
2. For a launcher with a safety, hold in the white button while at the same time cocking the hammer
4. Verify launcher barrel is pointed up, place your finger on the trigger and squeeze.
