Driving an electric vehicle (EV) is a significantly different experience compared to driving a heavy-duty truck or a classic muscle car. Old school vehicles had a sound and a feel, giving you a tactile connection to the engine, and turning heads as you passed. And while your EV is sleek, smooth, and sly, you might find yourself missing that signature sound. The Borla Active Performance Sound System addresses this gap with a customizable special effects module that helps make your driving sound the way it feels.

With the Borla Active Performance Sound System you can explore a vast library of sounds, each simulating different vehicles and engines. When in park, you can flip between four customized presets on a handy dash-mounted controller.  The library continually grows as much as it growls, and Borla has plans to add sounds like fighter jets and sci-fi inspired UFO sounds so your ride can sound truly out of this world.

This sound system processes 500 packets of data per second from your vehicle's CAN Bus, including throttle position, RPM, braking, motor load, and wheel speed, through its Digital Signal Processor (DSP). Proprietary algorithms shape these data into dynamic motorsounds, enhanced by a 300-watt amplifier and dual 6x9 inch drivers.

The speakers, protected by a weatherproof enclosure, mount to existing factory points with special-density rubber bushings that transfer subtle vibrations to the cabin, enhancing realism. The system includes everything needed for a plug-and-play installation and comes preloaded with premium sound profiles, with additional sounds and features available through future updates.
